Meeting Rooms
An average of 2000 people use the meeting room facilities each month. The groups involved span all socio-economic lines. The Caldwell County School system often gives workshops and other training classes here. We host many functions of the State Library and other state agencies. Several groups, including county agencies, use our larger rooms to give CPR and PIC Training instruction for staff members. A number of other non-profit groups meet here nearly every month - VFW, Camera Club, Republican Party, Democrat Party, Right to Life, Word Weavers, Ft. Defiance Board, Caldwell County Historical Society, and Cancer Society to name a few.
We provide this space to county, state and other non-profit organizations at no cost. Our centralized location makes it the ideal place for county and area meetings.
If you plan to use one of our meeting rooms, please plan ahead. We are a first come, first served facility, and we do not like to turn people away because no space is available.
Caldwell County Public Library currently offers six meeting rooms, ranging in seating capacity from 15 to 180 people. These are intended for use by county agencies and non-profit groups for educational purposes. Social gatherings are allowed, but on a fee-charged basis. Business groups may also use the facilities, but only for educational reasons and on a fee-charged basis. Use of the rooms is on a self-serve basis, meaning set-up and clean up is the responsibility of the group using the room.
An approved application is needed to reserve the rooms. For further information on the regulations regarding use of these rooms, please read the MEETING ROOM POLICY. You may print a copy of our APPLICATION and submit the completed form to the following address:
