Child Care Assistance

Purposes

  • To enable parents to maintain or seek employment in order to support their families and achieve economic independence.
  • To provide child care to children receiving protective services.
  • To enable parents to participate in job training or educational programs that will lead to their employment.
  • To provide child care to children in need of early intervention to enhance their development.
  • To facilitate the reunification of families, aid families in crisis, and prevent foster care.

Eligibility

Parents, foster parents, or responsible adults who are the primary caregiver for the child (parents are out of the home) may be eligible.
Talk to a child care social worker about financial guidelines.

Special Information

Client must be able to provide appropriate documents at the appointment.
Funding for this program is limited.

Application Process

Parent must make an appointment at which time one of the child care social workers can screen the client over the phone to see if they are eligible for assistance. This also gives the workers a chance to tell the parent what to bring with them so they can get a voucher the day of their appointment.
